Policy

There are certain instances when a medical examiner may have access to a deceased patient’s medical record without a release. When a request is received from a medical examiner, immediately forward the request and the medical record to the administrator and/or practice manager so the request may be processed without delay. Every health care facility should cooperate fully with investigations of this type.
